Obituary for David P. Bonnett
David Paul Bonnett, 77, of Clarksburg, WV (Northview Community), passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg on May 11, 1942, a son of the late Ernest and Carma L. (Childers) Bonnett.
In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Bonnett on November 18, 2010.
Surviving are two sons and one daughters: Shawn Bonnett of Clarksburg, Alicia Dunmire and husband Josh of Moatsville, and Aaron Bonnet of Clarksburg; two brothers: Danny Bonnet and wife Kathy of Clarksburg, and Larry Bonnet and wife Debbie of Clarksburg; sister-in-law, Marion Este Powell of Nutter Fort; and two grandsons: Nicholas and Isaac Bonnet both of Clarksburg. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
David was a graduate of Victory High School and then served his country honorably in the United States Army. He held several jobs over the years including working at a glass factory, on the state road, and his most enjoyed was a musician in the band, “Country Playboys.” David loved music and was very talented when it came to playing many instruments. He also enjoyed hunting at the family farm in Braxton County and spending time with his family.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 10am until the funeral hour at 12 Noon with Rev. Brad Dunmire presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
